Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Moneymachine ("the app", "we", "us") collects, how it is used, and what choices you have. By using the app you agree to the practices described here.
1. What the app is
Moneymachine is an automated video-creation tool that generates videos from written scripts and publishes them to YouTube channels that the operator has explicitly connected and authorized via the app's OAuth consent flow.
2. Information we access
- YouTube channel information — when you connect a YouTube channel, the app
reads the channel list for your Google account using the
youtube.readonlyscope, so you can choose which channel it may publish to. Channel metadata such as channel ID, title, and subscriber count is used to display and organize your channels. - YouTube uploads — the app uploads finished video files to the authorized
channel using the
youtube.uploadscope. You approve each upload through the app's manual review flow before it is published. - Account credentials — access and refresh tokens received from Google's OAuth service are stored locally, on the machine running the app, to keep your connection active so you do not have to sign in again.
- Content you provide — scripts, ideas, narration audio, generated media, and video files that you introduce into the app's workspace for the purpose of processing.
3. How information is used
- To operate the app: generate videos from your scripts, assemble media, and hand off to YouTube for uploading on your behalf.
- To keep the connection to your YouTube channel active (refreshing tokens when needed).
- To provide the app's web dashboard so you can monitor, review, and manage jobs and uploads.
4. What we do NOT do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
- We do not use your data for advertising or unrelated profiling.
- We do not read, modify, or publish any content on your YouTube channel beyond the uploads you explicitly request and approve.
- We do not access or retain Google account data outside the scopes described in Section 2.
5. Storage, retention, and security
Tokens and content are stored locally on the machine that runs the app, inside the app's data directory, by default:
- OAuth credentials are kept until you disconnect the channel or revoke access from your Google account's Third-party access page, after which they are no longer used.
- Generated media (audio, video, images, script JSON, transcripts) is kept in the app's data folder until you delete it from the web dashboard or filesystem.
- Access is protected by your machine's own user permissions; you are responsible for the security of the machine and account where the app runs.
6. Data sharing and transfers
We do not share your personal information with third parties except:
- Google — necessary to provide the core function of the app: maintaining your YouTube connection and uploading videos you approve. YouTube API data is handled in accordance with Google's policies.
- AI service providers — the app calls AI services (for example, text-to-speech, image generation, or content creation) that process the scripts and prompts you submit, solely to produce the media you requested. These services are bound by their own data policies.
- Legal obligations — if required by law, subpoena, or court order,
7. YouTube API Services disclosure
The app uses the YouTube API Services to upload videos and to read channel information. By using the app you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy.
This required disclosure is included in accordance with Google's YouTube API Services Terms of Service.
8. Your choices and control
- Disconnect: you can disconnect any channel at any time from the app's web dashboard, which stops the app from uploading to it.
- Revoke access: you can revoke the app's access entirely at any time through your Google Account's Third-party access settings (myaccount.google.com). After revocation, tokens held by the app can no longer be used.
- Delete data: you can delete jobs, media, and tokens from the app's data directory at any time.
9. Children's privacy
The app may be used to create content intended for children (for example, educational or family-friendly videos), but the app itself does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Requests to a connected YouTube channel are made by the channel operator, not by children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitute acceptance of the updated policy.
